Chiropractic adjustments dangerous to your health? Some companies want your family to believe it.
In 1958 10,000 medical patients were asked to complete a survey which asked them what "alternative" care programs they felt were most effective outside of medical procedures. The top three responses were found to be: 1) Nutritional Supplementation, 2) Chiropractic Care, and 3) Psychology/Counseling. What was done with this information was shocking. Pharmaceutical companies and the AMA went on a massive smear campaign against these entities in the attempt to discredit them and hopefully shift the flow of cash back to their side. They stated that chiropractic adjustments "were extremely dangerous" and would cause "stroke" if applied to the neck. Research finds this statement to be completely inaccurate and apparently simply a down right lie. The risk of any injury from a chiropractic adjustment was so low that you have a better chance of being struck by lightning than to ever be injured by an adjustment. In the 108 years the profession has been caring for Americans there has never been a single case of death from a chiropractic adjustment. It is conservatively estimated that 250,000 medical patients die each year from medical mistakes. Extrapolating from these statistics you can conclude that over same period of time potentially as many as 27 million medical patients have died unnecessarily. Do the math. 27,000,000 to none. Many insurance companies believe chiropractic to be the safest health care system bar none. The average chiropractor pays 1200.00 per year for malpractice insurance. The average M.D. over the same period of time pays over 40 thousand dollars. Why would medical doctors pay 40 times the malpractice insurance premiums as a chiropractor? Is it because insurance companies want to give the chiropractic profession a break on cost? Do the math. Do the research. Find out what the healthiest families in America already know. Become health by choice, not by chance through safe and effective chiropractic care. Ref: Risk assessment of neurological and/or verterobasilar complications in the chiropractic patient.
